2009 Goals---Who's At the Table?
"Who's at the Table?"---What a great
theme this is for the United Methodist Women's Program Book!!! I say
that not because we like to eat a lot and not because we want to cook a
lot, but rather because it emphasizes
the importance of overcoming
divisions in our society, be it divisions of age, race, income,
ethnicity, or education. We are called to welcome and engage all
women! Let us commit to:
·
strengthen the work and faith of our UMW members
·
learn and experience more about our relationship to
God through personal experiences and relationships with each other and
in our mission work
·
offer the same hospitality to others as God extends
to us in mercy, generosity and steadfast love
·
explore our gifts, graces, challenges and passions
and what it means to be in community with women of the world today
·
share in the celebration of the Body of Christ,
alive and working in our experiences today
·
renew our efforts in the mission of United
Methodist Women with women, children and youth
